How we work

One actuary. A fleet of AI.
Seven ordinary computers.

No data-entry team, no offshore office. One credentialed actuary decides what to read and checks what comes out. AI does the reading, around the clock.

One person at a desk at night; documents rise from seven computers into a unicorn constellation

Who does what

The actuary — Sangmin Kwon, ASA. 25 years in insurance: product development at Samsung Fire & Marine, then founder of an insurance distribution company. He decides which lines and states to read next, sets the rules each machine follows, and signs off on every formula before its prices go public.

Five downloaders — computers 2 to 6 fetch filings from state regulators day and night: rate manuals, rule books and policy forms. Every file is logged with where and when it came from.

One checker — computer 7 collects real prices, the answer key every formula is tested against.

One desk — computer 1 does the arithmetic and the judgment: it rebuilds each insurer's price, runs it against real prices, and reads the policies — 64 coverage questions and the claim rules for every current pet policy form.

Inner loop · 4 ⇄ 5 — rebuild, check, fix, repeat, until the formula reproduces held-out quotes within 3 cents. A state goes live only after that.
Outer loop · 7 → 1 — when an insurer files a new rate, the machines find it, download it, take it apart and send it back through the inner loop.

Why it can be one person

The filings are public, but they are long, inconsistent and scattered across 51 regulators. Reading them used to take a team. With AI doing the reading and an actuary checking the reasoning, the bottleneck is judgment, not headcount — and judgment is the part an actuary is trained for.
